ABOUT JT

I was born and raised in the Silicon Valley and have always been around technology. My father, an electrical engineer and my mother a computer programmer, I initially followed in their footsteps thinking I wanted to be a computer engineer. Somewhere along the way, I explored my creative side using the technology all around me. First, it was in taking apart a camera I found in the closet. Later I would get heavily into photography. I think I just wanted to know how things work so I could fully understand the process. I also used computer programming to animate colored lines on an Apple IIe computer. I loved knowing the code behind such interesting and mathematical patterns. To this day, I observe patterns everywhere and use them as inspiration.

Currently, I am Head of Design of Global Corporate Communications at eBay where I manage a team of creatives focused on supporting the Executive Leadership Team, Internal Employee Communications and External Global Communications. I am a Graphic Designer and Photographer at heart and I love creating and being creative in all aspects of my life. For over 30 years I have used my skills in a variety of ways from typesetting ads for a recruitment ad agency to designing manufacturing tools in a custom printing environment as well as creating websites and digital graphics for promotional banners, both animated and static, digital photography and, of course, print design.

In my spare time, I enjoy working on puzzles, long motorcycle rides and hang gliding on the coast of California.
